Back story

Yakya is the fruit of nearly 40 years in market-research interpreting

1. 1986 - Simon Hamilton becomes translator-terminologist at SVP 11 11 (a French company that could have rivalled the internet, there's a story there somewhere)
2. 1988 - Goes freelance and specializes in market research
3. 2008 - Creates Frogologue
4. 2020 - Covid and family reasons demand a return to UK. To comply with UK law, creation of Research Interpreters Ltd
5. 2024 - Back to France. Frogologue being too Franco-French for an increasingly international clientele, creation of Yakya
6. 2025 - In theory, that's it, no more changes.

Today, having built a team of interpreters and language specialists familiar with market research around the world, we offer a variety of services in numerous languages, mainly between French and English, but also to and from the following:
